It was reported to the City Council last evening, that representatives of the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board. Messrs J. Boyce, W. A., Waters and K. W. Eglinton, had waited on the lighting committee and given advice of the board’s intention to erect a new line from Bunnythorpe to the city power station. The committee had thanked the board representatives for advising the committee of its intentions. A Chicago message says that Mrs Snite, the wife of _ the “iron lung” patient, has given birth to a daughter. 13otli are well. The Snite case attracted attention sometime ago when Mr Snite, who was affected with paralysis, was conveyed from Japan to America in the apparatus. About a year ago he was married, still being partly enclosed in the “iron lung.”
