CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES.

“Matter” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The Golden Text was I John 5: 21: “Little children, keep yourselves from idols.” Among the citations which comprised the Leeson-Sermon were the following from the Bible : “For in Him (God) wo live, and move, and have our being.” “Ajid if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Acts 17: 28. Gal. 5: 25.) Also the following passages- from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Raker Eddy : “We must destroy the false belief that life and intelligence are in matter, and plant ourselves 'upon what is pure and perfect. Paul said, ‘Walk in the Spirit, and ye. shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.’ Sooner or later we shall learn that the fetters of man’s finite capacity are forged bv the illusion that he lives in body instead of in Soul, in matter instead of in Spirit.” (p. 222.)
