WOMEN'S WORLD
Mrs F. Grotrian, of “Konewa,” Ashhu rst, is visiting her mother, Mrs Shand, of Tinakori Iload, Wellington. Mr and Mrs N. Y. Ballinger and Mr and Mrs F. Bendall, of Palmerston North, were visitors to Napier at the week-end for the marriage of Miss Cora Klee, third daughter of Mr and Mrs V. Klee, formerly of Palmerston North, to Lieutenant Charles Lee, of Napier. Mrs E. Prevett, formerly Miss Joan Levin, of Palmerston North, -has arrived in New Zealand irom England and is at present in Auckland. Her husband, Commander Ptevett, of the Royal Navy, is on active' service. Mrs Prevett will later visit friends in Palmerston North.
' Congratulations were extended, by the* Palmerston North City Council, last evening, to Miss J. Blyth, senior assistant at the Public Library, on having received advice from London that she had passed the elementary examination of the Library Association.
Mrs Bramwell Booth has been informed by the War Office that her daughter, Colonel Mary Booth, leader of the Salvation Army in Belgium, is in an internment camp at Constance. With her is her secretary, Colonel Itva Smith, daughter of Mr Frank Smith, formerly M.P. for Nuneaton, reports a London paper.
