The association decided to place the position before its men?- A bors. . . , The Officer Commanding the New . Zealand Air Force Station, Ohakea, wrote asking the association to request members to clear their vehicles (by reversing, if necessary) from the Bulls bridge whenever the station’s fire tender and ambulance were attempting to travel over the bridge. Serious delay might be caused by the traffic on the bridge if these vehicles were required to rush to an aircraft which had made a forced landing outside the aerodrome. Speed was essential, as forced landings often resulted in personal injury, and - there was always' the possibility of ail aircraft catching fire. The chairman (Mr W. H. Brown) said that this was a very reasonable request. It was decided to communicate with the association’s members on the subject and to inform the officer commanding the Ohakea ..station of the association’s action. -
