The death has occurred of Dri Walter Ivens, aged 70, vicar of AA areborne, Kent, states a London message. He was an authority- on Alelaneffian languages. -He graduated in 1893 and hold many appointments in New Zea-. land, and Australia. For several years he was travelling secretary to the Alclanesian Aliasion.
In the Little Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, the Palmerston North Little Theatre Society will be presenting four one-act plays, particulars of which are advertised.- As usual there has been a careful choice made so as to provide diversified entertainment, the selection including one comedy which is being staged for the first time in New Zealand. The society has a reputation for work of high standard in the field of dramatic art and from reports of the rehearsals last week,, their reputation is in good hands. _. The first play will bo by members of the junior division at 7.30 o’clock, and is in the hands of Mrs S. Trotter, the other producers being Mr Derek Bennett, Afiss Elsie Sandman, and Air S. Bradlield.
