UNCONFIRMED REPORT
(United Press Association —Copyright.) Received Sept. 23, 11.10 a.m. NEW YORR, Sept. 22. An intercepted German wireless message carried a Vicky dispatek asserting tkat Britisk warsliips attacked a Frenck naval squadron off Dakar (Frenck West Africa), and damaged,one Frenck vessel.
The details arc obscure. However, it is indicated the French cruisers returned to Dakar because of British superior gunpower. A Melbourne message says the Naval Board advises there is no official confirmation of the New York message.
