(From Our Own Correspondent.) AOKATJTERE, Sept. 19. The annual euchre match, Ladies v. Gentlemen, resulted in a draw, the. ladies winning the play-off. The winners at a euchre evening to raise funds for the Church of England were: Mrs Tate 1; Mrs Scott, consolation; Mr S. Gilshnan 1, Mr J. Woodley consolation. The prizes were donated by Mrs Cooling and Mr W. K. Hopcroft. ■■" ■ V ; The results of the Rifle Club’s weekly shoot were: R. Andrews 99, L. Fielding 97, F. Andrews 95, S. Godson 96, 1). Clinton 93, W. Kelly 93, P. Smith 92, R. Tate 91, IV. Pinfold 90, A. Crowe 89, R. Smith 89, T. Kendall 88, J. Atkinson 86, C. Brookic 82, E. Scott 76, 11. Stout 73. The rifle club is to give a send-off to three of- its members who are shortly going into camp. At a committee meeting it was decided to hold the annual ball next .month (to be advertised later) when the presentation of trophies will be made. Preparations are being made for; the Women's Institute’s flower show. Owing to the favourable season a record entry is expected in the various classes.
