(From Our Own Correspondent.) AOKATJTERE, Sept. 19. The annual euchre match, Ladies v. Gentlemen, resulted in a draw, the. ladies winning the play-off. The winners at a euchre evening to raise funds for the Church of England were: Mrs Tate 1; Mrs Scott, consolation; Mr S. Gilshnan 1, Mr J. Woodley consolation. The prizes were donated by Mrs Cooling and Mr W. K. Hopcroft. ■■" ■ V ; The results of the Rifle Club’s weekly shoot were: R. Andrews 99, L. Fielding 97, F. Andrews 95, S. Godson 96, 1). The rifle club is to give a send-off to three of- its members who are shortly going into camp. At a committee meeting it was decided to hold the annual ball next .month (to be advertised later) when the presentation of trophies will be made. Preparations are being made for; the Women's Institute’s flower show. Owing to the favourable season a record entry is expected in the various classes.
