The Dominion Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report receiving a full yarding of pigs at their weekly tale on Thursday:—There was a keen demand, a total clearance being made at satisfactory rates. Weancrs sold to 30s each, porkers to £3 each and sows to farrow to £lO 10s. Poultry were in demand, good hens soiling to 5s 6(j each, ducks to 6s each, and cockerels to 5s each, ’lhere was ail exceptionally keen demand for vegetables, cauliflowers in particular selling well, up to 15s 3d a bag; and asparagus to Is 4d a bundle. We quote: Pigs: Best weaners, 28s to 30s; medium. 24s to 265; small to backward, 16s to 20s; slips, 30s i.o 355; stores, 37s to 495; porkers, £2 11s to £3; sows to farrow, £8 to £lO 10s.
