SALE OF PEDIGREE PIGS.
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on the annual spring sale of pedigree pigs conducted on behalf of the Manawatu branch of tnc New 5 Zealand Pig Breeders’ Association as fol- - lows: —Over 65 pedigree boars and sows f were offered, the bulk of the entry com- > prising Tamworths and f Largo Blacks. Prices throughout were, in i the main, on a par with those ruling at ; this sale last year. Interest was mainly centred in the offering of Berkshire sows, - any showing quality and at a serviceable ? age commanding keen competition. The fc number of pedigree Tamworths was • smaller than in recent years, only four 1 studs being represented and prices being 1 in accordance with the quality. 'J'op price • of the day went to Mr 0.
