CAMP AT FOXTON.
TO PROVIDE FOR 1300 MEN
The Foxton Racing Club has received advice from the military authorities that a camp will be held on the racecourse irom October 1 till the second week in November. The president (Mr W. E. Barber) told members of the club at the annual meeting that lie had been given _to understand that 1300 men, comprising artillery. engineers and signallers, would be under canvas. The club bad been indemnified against damage to property, and the authorities had guaranteed not to interfere with the course til! after the race meeting at the end of this month.
