Miss Eileen. Bosworth, of Fitzherbert Avenue, is at present in Wellington. Miss Ethel Warren, of Ranfurly Street, lias been visiting Wellington. Her friends will be pleased to learn that Mrs Id. Christmas, of Fitzherbert Avenue, who 'lias been in hospital, has now returned home.

The Auckland singer, Hineinoa Rosieur, who was reported in a London cablegram yesterday to have been killed by a bomb, sang many times before Royalty and was acting as understudy to prominent ojiera singers. When war broke out she commenced nursing in a hospital and was known as “the singing nurse.” She was aged 27. A Press Association message from Auckland states that Hinemoa Rosieur was the first vocalist to will the Melba Scholarship. She left New Zealand for Melbourne in 1934, and went to London in 1933.
