SOLDIER PATIENTS.

AVELLINGTON, Sept. 20.
In a statement to-day, the Minister of Defence (Hon. F. Jones) intimates that, unless a soldier is placed on the seriously or dangerously ill list, no notification is sent to the Base Records, New Zealand. Instances have occurred of relatives hearing that men have been in hospital for various periods of time without their haying been notified, hence the explanation.
