FOXTON RACING CLUB.

A SATISFACTORY YEAR,

A satisfactory state of affairs is shown for the year ended Juno 30 last, says tho report of the Foxton Racing Club. Although it would appear that tho finances of tho club arc not as flourishing us they' wore at this time lust yoar, the assets have boon increased by the erection of a new stand at a cost of £4002. Tho stand was very favourably commented on at our last meeting and should servo tho club for many years to come. It is plousing to noLo that during the year Mrs P. Flan and Messrs J. Nelson and J. Manuel, trainer-owners, have taken up their residence in Foxton and they are favourably impressed with the training track, which, together with the track proper, has been kept in a good state of repair during tho year. The club conducted two very successful meetings, iu September and May, both being well patronised by the public, especially the spring meeting, which was held at Awapuni. Nominations have been received for the following positions: President, Mr W. E. Barbery vice-presidents, Messrs S. R. Austin, M. B. Borgin. R. Bryant and D. 11. Ogilvy; stewards, Meosrs E. Christensen, A. P. Easton and R. 11. Robinson. An election will not be necessary, .
