ORGANISED Bodies of Women are cordially invited to send Delegates to a Meeting to be held in the Supper Room, Opera House, Palmerston North, on Tuesday, September 24, at 8 p.m., for the purpose of ELECTING NINE MEMBERS TO SERVE ON THE LOCAL DISTRICT COMMITTEE OF THE WOMEN’S WAR SERVICE AUXILIARY. Only accredited delegates of women’s organisations will be admitted to the meeting and organisations of women willing to send delegates should communicate with the Convener, Miss M. S. Grant, care Manawatu Times Office, not later than 4 p.m. on Monday, September 23. The following information should be supplied: (a) The name of the organisation, (b) Names of delegates who will attend on behalf of the organisation. (c) Whether the number of members in the organisation exceeds 50. Organisations with a membership of 50 or less will be entitled to _ one delegate, other organisations will be en- ' titled to two delegates. That the Council raise from the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand a loan of £IO,OOO or so much thereof as may be required for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, such loan to be called “The Rural Housing Loan No. 1, 1940, £10,000.” !. That the Council repay half-year-ly in reduction of the loan an amount equal to the 6um of all amounts which are expressed to be payable to the Council during the half-year ending on each hallyearly date bv the agreements entered into with the Council by the various farmers to whom the loan moneys are to be advanced. ! That interest at the rate of 3 per cent, on unpaid principal be paid by the Council calculated on the daily debtor balance of the Council in the accounts of the lender. 1.
