AWAPUNI TRACK WORK. OLD BILL GALLOPS A MILE. (By “Spectator.”) The course proper was open for fast work this morning at Awapuni, and was in good order. The flags were placed about the middle. . . Old Bill galloped over a mile, picking up All Quiet at the seven furlongs peg. Ine mile was covered in 1.53 3-5. Golden Moon went alone over three furlongs, taking 44 l-ssec. Silver Shekel had War Credit for- a companion over lialf-a-mile. J.bis was co ' ered in 55scc„ the last three furlongs taking 42Asec. , , Cherry Bay and Boniden went over five furlongs, taking 1.10. Cherry Bey should be prominent m foithcoming events Sceptre galloped alone over ' furlongs in similar time. Squcers wen alone over three furlong 3. , f Colonel Bogey was slightly ahead oi Goldbridgc at the- end of a mile cotcied in 1.50.
