FIGURES IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 11.2 a.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 18. The cost of living figure at the end of August-was that in July, 1914, being 100. It was two points higher than the figure at the beginning of the month. This is equivalent to about 1 per cent. For food alone the figure was 106, or two points higher than the figure at the beginning of the month, but two less than on July 1.
