FIGHTER PLANE FUND.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —In order that residents, not only in the City but also in the Kairanga County, should fully realise the position in time, may I emphasise that the one and only pipe-line available now or the. immediate future along which we can send money to London is the Fighter Plane Fund. The district’s quota is £2OOO, and we are' some £4OO short. Whilst the sense of satisfaction of the district having “done its bit” is involved, my main purpose is to stress this: That the only opportunity and privilege of sending money Home for a real full-blooded, “win the war” purpose terminates on Saturday night.—l am, etc., T ,„_ J. C. YOUNG, Chairman, 'Special Committee.
