These letter's wero received. Further , corrpspondence was read concerning the consolidation of the Stanway School with Ilalcombe, which is to take place at the beginning of next year. It was therefore decided not to go ahead with any proposed improvements to the school grounds. Messrs Hamilton and Mitchell were appointed the committee’s representatives at the dental clinic meeting in Feilding. _ A discussion took place on the advisability of holding a school concert at the end of the year. The teacher reported that with so few girls at the school it would be impossible to organise a concert such as had been the case in past years, but that Miss M. Dormer had kindly offered to
help with some of the old girls of the school. Miss Dermer and the other expupijs were to be congratulated in taking such an active interest in school affairs, and their co-operation was welcomed by the committee. Further arrange-
ments for a concert and dance were left for a future meeting. It was decided that at this closing function in the school’s history each phild be presented with a suitable prize, the teacher being delegated to purchase these.
