COURT-MARTIAL SENTENCES.
PAPAKURA INCIDENTS,
Per Press Association. ; AUCKLAND. Sept. 18, . The sentence of the Court-martial which sat at Papakura Camp last week to hear charges against a member of the Royal New Zealand Air Force and two members of the New Zealand Military Forces was promulgated to day. Aircraftsman (first class) R. GWalker was sentenced to 30 days ; imprisonment, without hard labour, and was ordered to be dismissed from His Majesty’s service with ignominy. Private A. F. Johnson, 24th (Auckland) Battalion, was sentenced to 14 days’ detention, and Gunner J. Croft, 9th Heavy Regiment, New Zealand Artillery, was sentenced to 30 days detention. . , The three men were jointly charged with using violence to their superior officer, creating disorder to the prejudice of good order and military discipline. striking a person in whose custody they were placed and committing a civil offence, assault. | In addition Aircraftsman Walker was charged separately with wilfully injuring nul.-lic nronertv and with conduct to the prejudice of pood order and military discipline. Private Johnson was also separately charged with using insubordinate language to his superior officer. The charges ardse from incidents alleged to have occurred when the men were in tho isolation hospital at the camp on August 15. j
