ROLE OE ETHIOPIA
(United Press Association-Copyright.) (Rec. 11 a.m.) CAIRO, Sept. 17. It is officially stated that Italian motorised columns have occupied Sidi Barrani (50 miles inside the Egyptian border on the Mediterranean coast) and have pushed out covering forces to the southward and westward.
The British Government, stated Lord Templemore in the House of Lords, has no territorial or other ambitions m Ethiopia; 1 but is anxious to see that country liberating itself lrom Italian aggression (says a British Official Wireless report). The Government would give all possible assistance to those Ethiopians who had already taken up or would take up arms against the invader.
