MOTORISTS PUNISHED

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 16. A motor-cyclist, Arthur Leonard Higgins, aged 40, pleaded guilty in the Police Court to-day to a charge of intoxication while in charge of a vehicle, and the Magistrate imposed a sentence of seven days’ imprisonment. Samuel Gill, aged 37, pleaded not guilty to a charge of intoxication while in charge of a car and was fined £2O, his license being cancelled for 12 months. Charles Edward Newfield, aged 30, who pleaded guilty to intoxication while in charge of a car, was fined £25, his license being cancelled for 12 months.
