RESPONSE IN WELLINGTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 16. In answer to an appeal by the Mayor (Air T. C. A. Hislop) to the people ot Wellington to subscribe £3OOO as the citv’s quota of the New Zealand contribution to the Lord Mayor ot London’s fund for the relief of bombincr victims, a sum exceeding that amount was assured before o o clock this evening.
