TEA TOPICS.
In times of need the bulldog breed Makes bee-lines for the tea-pot; But stay that spoon —tile former boon Is not, at once, a free pot. To heap tea in from box or bin The law itself denounces; 0 put it back—your weekly whack Must not exceed two ounces! At this sad tale some well may quail— They may indeed look glumly Who like to stew their Indian brow And think it black but comely. But there you are —there is a bar On such a spendthrift passion; Control, control the flowing bowl Or you’ll outrun your ration 1 From that, I think, one ought to shrink As conduct most unseemly, For even tea, as you’ll.'agree, Should not be used extremely. Our task is set, but still we get Of comfort one large crumb back— AVlicn Hitler’s lot have gone to pot Tea-pots will stage their come-back. I—Lueio, in the Manchester Guardian.
