Messrs P. A. Lynch and D. B. Thompson, members of the United Sports Cricket Club, who are shortly going into military camp, were farewelled at a gathering of members of the United Sports Cricket, Football and Hockey clubs at which they were the recipients of suitable presentations and good wishes.

News has been received of the death in the Gilbert Islands (on the Equator) of Mr W. A. Lcvett, who was attached to the headquarters in that area of the London Missionary Society.—Press Association.
