Tho Young Egyptians’ Congress, at Geneva, demanded the immediate evacuation of Egypt by Britain, and urged the Khedive to re-establish tho Constitution. Tho Australian Senate was making a great fight for tho capital site, stated a Melbourne cablegram. The New South Wales representatives, who previously voted for Canberra, announced their intention to vote against it, placing the selected site in jeopardy.
