REIGN OF TERROR

HUNGARIAN CHARGE. CEDED TERRITORIES. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Rec. 1.35 p.m.) BUDAPEST, Sept. 15, A semi-official statement accuses the Rumanian army of a ten days’ reign of terror against Hungarians living in the territories ceded to Hungary. “Hungarian political circles at first were inclined to believe that the atrocities were the work of irresponsibles, but the latest news suggests that a secret order was given by high authorities,” the statement says, “Hungary’s regret at these events is heightened bv the fact that Rumania is oppressing 700,000 Hungarians. The Rumania-Hungarian crisis plainly continues.”
