CANADIAN FORCE.
LONDON, Sept. 14. The Commander of the Canadian forces in Engl .and (liicuteniint-Genercil A. G. L. McNn-ughton) addressing troops in a southern garrison, said: “We * are building a new Canadian corps to carry the war into enemy territory. It will consist of 14,000 offers and men, compared with its_l9lß predecessor, of 21,000, but it will be immensely harder hitting and speedier. The division’s average pace has increased from miles an hour to 12-J-, moving over 100 miles instead of ten miles in 24 hours. The corps will also include units from other parts of the Empire.” A proclamation authorising the calling up of the first draft of Canadians for military training lias been signed. All single men 21 years of age must report , for medical examination. From the number 30,000 will be selected for training in the first camp opening on October 9.
