C. H. TATE’S SUCCESS. In the annual match for the Waimana Cun on Saturday, 18 ex-soldier members of the Feilding Golf Club took part. The contest was won by C. H. Tate with a net score of 73. The history of the Waiiuana Cup dates back to the Great War, when a group of Main Body men sailed overseas on the transport Waimana. The competition is essentially one in which only returned men who sailed on that ship are eligible to compete. Last year’s winner of the Waimana Cup was It. Old. The medal “scramble” for members not taking part in the cup match resulted in Blundell winning the senior division and G. Pearson the junior section. In connection with the long and short competition on Saturday next, those players who were in the long division when the club’s knockout competition commenced are to play in the long division on Saturday.
