BY Order in Council, made and issued by His Excellency the GovernorGeneral in Council on the 31st day of July, 1940, under the authority of the above Act, it was determined that the duty by way of land-tax leviable under the said Act should be paid in ono sum on Tuesday, the Ist day of Octo--ber, 1940, at the officis of the Commissioner of Taxes, Wellington, C 3; and,in accordance with such Order in Council, I hereby give notice that the said duty will bo payable accordingly. Additional tax will accrno if the tax is not paid on or before 22nd October, 1940. The liability to pay is not suspended by any objection. Tho tax should be paid on or before the prescribed date, otherwise the additional percentage accrues; any overpayment will ho adjusted by refund. The demands will be posted from the office of the Commissioner of Taxes on or. about 24th September, 1940.
