RESIGNATION ECHO.

FORMER WAR MINISTER. NEW YORK, Sept. 7. Captain Liddell Hart, former military correspondent of the London Times, reveals in a letter to liis American publishers that Mr Horc-Bel-isha’s resignation as War Minister resulted from protests by him and by Dominion leaders over the state of the Belgian frontier defences. These protests, he says; were resented in high military quarters and they provoked a controversy for a few weeks before Mr Hore-Belisha’s removal. Captain Liddell Hart denies that he was involved in the controversy.
