(From Our Own Correspondent.) HIWINUI, Sept. 12. The lambing season is nearly over, and although there have been some losses among ewes most of the farmers are showing an unusually largo percentage of lambs. Thcro have been quite a number of triplets, and one farmer claims a record of having a owe with five lambs. Mr Crosby, inspector, visited the school recently. Mrs J. Slack has returned, homo after having undergone an operation in a private hospital. Another of our residents, Mr R. Osborne, has also returned home after having undergone an operation. Mrs 11.
