(From Our Own Correspondent.) HALGOM.BE, Sept. 11. The flag competition played by the Golf Club resulted :—Senior, R. Anderson, junior, L. Fcrgusson. Both players carried the flag to the 18th green. R. Anderson’s week-end card was the best returned and ho now becomes eligible for the senior championship. He will now play on a handicap of 19. Championship games set down for next week-end are: —Senior: H. Fcrgusson and D. C. Managh, R. J. Managh and R. Anderson. Intermediate: G. Nieol and 11. Jones. Junior: L. Siegel and B. Bradley, S. .lones and J. Ooulson, R. D. Elgar and W. Christian. The draw for the" Stableford bogey competition is: L. Anderson, K. Fergusson and C. Fergusson; 11. Fergusson, D. C. Managh and E, W. Cowdrey; R. H. Elgar, \V. Christian and L. Fergusson; S. Jones, J. Coulson and 1. Owen; L. Siegel, B. Bradley and J. O’Sullivan; C. Nieol, IT. Jones and G. Bevan; R. J. Managh, R. Anderson and N. Ashworth; N. Anderson- and 1. Old; B. Muller and B. Bevan. Next week-end the ladies’ club will play, a medal competition in conjunction with the second qualifying round for the championships. The draw is; Miss J. Fergusson and Mrs. J. O’Sullivan, Miss B. Fcrgusson and Mrs E. Nairn, Mrs L. Fergusson and Miss O. Kerr. . Mrs R. Managh and Miss P. Fergusson, Mrs J. Fergusson and • Mrs L. At a meeting of the Tennis Club committee it was decided to prepare the courts and lawns in readiness for play at an early date. Mrs G. Curtis, of Mt. Biggs, has returned from a holiday spent in Wellington. Mr R. W. Taylor, of the Post Office staff, is spending his annual leave with liis parents at Petone. Mrs I. G. Owen has returned after spending an extended holiday with her parents in Napier.
