CO-OPERATIVE GUILD.

Tho Alanawatu Co-operative AYomen’s Guild met on Tuesday afternoon, when Airs Ilarrod presided. The speaker was Dr P. R. AloAlahon, of Massey College, his subject being “Textile Fabrics.” AVith lantern slides he showed how linen and woollen materials were manufactured, also why woollen goods shrink when put in water and other materials such as cotton and silk expand. The president expressed thanks to the speaker. The hostesses were Alesdamos Horsfall, Foster and Hayter.
