MINE AGAIN IDLE.
THE MACDONALD DISPUTE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 11. Tiie dispute w'hich opened at the Macdonald coalmine on Tuesday ol last week, when 200 miners decided not to work till one man’s claim for wet-time payment had been determined, was revived" this morning when, -after working for an hour, the men returned to their homes. No work will be done at the mine to morrow. Last week the men were idle on Tuesday, AYednesday and Thursday. They worked on Friday, and again on Monday and Tuesday of this week. It is understood that the men held a meeting to receive a report .from the disputes committee this morning, and subsequently left the mine after working onlv an hour. The Northern Miners’ Union executive held a meeting to-night to discuss the situation, but it was announced that no finality had been reached. A further meeting with the men will take place at the Macdonald mine to-morrow afternoon.
