FRONTIER INCIDENTS.

INDO-CHINA SITUATION. (Rec. 1 p.m.) HONG KONG, Sept. 10. A thousand Japanese troops crossed over the Indo-China frontier at Dong Dang, but withdrew after a French protest. The French are still firmly opposing Japanese attempts to gain a free hand in Indo-China. The Japanese apologised swiftly when the French threatened to abandon the negotiations. The Chinese are reported to have blown up the international bridge at Laokay, on the northern frontier between Indo-China and Yunnan.
