CROQUET CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Feilding Ladies’ Croquet Club was held recently, Mrs F. Moore presiding. The report and balance-sheet were adopted and two new members nominated. The year had been a successful one both from a financial and playing viewpoint, it was stated. Pleasant days were spent at the Feilding and Northern greens playing for the Centennial Cup, which was donated by members of the Feilding Club. The, trophy was won by the Northern Club. The lawns are in splendid order for the coming season. The election of officers resulted : President, Mrs F. Moore; vicepresident, Mrs J. Edelsten; secretary, Miss I. Bartholomew; committee, Mesdames F. Jones, H. Simson, G. Dewe, T. Burne, F. Jarrett, A. E. Rodgers ; delegates to Manawatu Croquet Centre, Mesdames Edelsten and Jarrett; sports committee, Mesdames Edelsten, Dewe and Rodgers; auditor, Mr T. S. Goldsmith. Votes of thanks were accorded the president, Mrs Moore and Mr Goldsmith and other officers for their work.
