RESPONSE AT WIIAKARONGO.

Farmers, in the Wlinkarongo area, in common with .others throughout the country, are playing their part well in increasing production as part of the contribution toward the war effort. As a result the following increases have been promised in a' canvass of the district: Dairy cows, 100; cattle, 40; sheep, 135 ewes and 390 lambs; pigs, 2 sows, and 109 baconers; poultry, 303; feed barley 9J tons; root crops,. 97 acres; grain crops, 10 acres; rc-sowing to grass, acres; lucerne, IS acres. A good deal more meat meal and fertilisers aie to be used. .
