STORY OF “REPRISALS.”
(Rec. 11.55 a.m.) BERLIN, Sept 9. A communique states that bomber formations in spite of, bad weathei conditions, continued their reprisals against London and were able to recognise targets from a great distance by the fires still burning. Bombs of all calibres were dropped on both sides of the Thames, on docks, harboui works, oil depots, gas and electricity works, and warehouses. . “Photographs from the air confirm the effectiveness of previous attacks. We attacked several aerodromes in t c neighbourhood of Lincoln. “British planes attacked residents quarters in Hamburg and damage several houses, some civilians being .injured. The enemy lost a-total or planes, and four of ours are nussin-,. Bombs damaged a merchantman of oUUU tons in the Firth of Forth. . . The German News Agency claims that a bomber considerably damage! installations at Woolwich at no terday, destroying a P°' va H, P railway industrial plants, and the railway station.
