MAGISTRATE’S COURT
Mr H. P. La wry, S-M., presided at a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. For driving a ear when not the holder of a driver’s license, J. S. Brown was fined 10s, with costs 12s. For driving without due care and attention, S. Irvine was fined £2, with ISs costs; 11. A. Jones, £3 and 13s costs; and A. Ploen. £l, with 15s costs. A. H. Peters (Mr J. A. Grant) was fined £l, wit'll 12s costs, for driving a motor lorry when not the holder of a driver’s license. F. 0. Amos and S. 11. Johnston were each fined £l, with 10s costs, for carrying passengers between Palmerston North and the Awapuni racecourse when not the holders of traffic licenses for such purpose.'A fine of £1 with 10s costs was imposed on 11. B. Larson for failing to carry a warrant of fitness when driving a motor vehicle. G. Richardson, for operating a motor lorry when not the holder of a 'heavy traffic license, was fined £l, with 11s costs. Mr AW. Yortt apipeared for defendant.
