Civil Service 8; Public Service 22 v. Berryman’s 14; Co-op. won by default from Economic. Men’s B grade: Rascals 14 v. Cooks 6; Woohvorths 13 v. P.D.C. 10; Clausens 8 v. C.,, and C. Hi-Yi’s 8. The Palmerston North representative team beat the Wellington representative team by 27 points to 21. The following is the draw for this week’s games: — Wednesday.—Ladies’ A grade: Public Service v. REFEREE’S ATTAINMENT.
The Manawatu Basketball Association has been advised that Mrs Gorringe, of Palmerston North, has completed the requirements for a- New Zealand official referee by passing the practical examination. Mrs Gorringe is the second referee, in the Manawatu Association to gain New Zealand status, Miss C. Vautier having passed the examinations last year.
