Oxenhnm (Miss M Pederson, Woodvilio). Grade 3 (pass); Elizabeth W. Brooks’ (Miss B. D. Lucas). Grade 2 (pass) : Dorothy M. Boyens (Miss B. D. Lucas), John D. Oxenham (Miss M. Pedersen). 'The Army Rugby football team which plavcd a Bush representative team on Saturday was later entertained at a dance held in the Mangainutu Hall. The' team was welcomed bv the Mayor of Pahiatua (Mr S. K. Siddells) and Mr McClenaghan on behalf of the Returned Soldiers’ A«sociaiioti, Lieutenant Thomson, the Army side’s manager, returning thanks-. At a meeting of the Pahiatua Borough Council the baths, recreation and parks committees reported that they had decided to carry out various works. At the Recreation Grounds a number of dead trees, are to be rcp’accd, gates repaired and shod doors painted. At the northern cud of the area a fence is to be erected behind which is to be planted a row of trees suitable for shelter for pieknickevs. On ninkjng an inspect ion of Wakcman Street tno committee decided to plant trees along ihc grass land of the street as far as a pomt J two chains from Tyndall Street. The works committee made an inspection of various streets with a view to deciding on further work on these.
