Bradcoek on Saturday evening. Vocal solos were contributed by Mr P. Ilakaraia and Air Taylor. The oppoftunity was taken to congratulate All Barrat on attaining his majority and to wish him well. At die residence of Mr and Mrs K. Titcombo, of Cook Street, a number of friends assembled to join with them in celebrating the coming-of-age ot their ron, Mr James Titcombo. A competition was won by Air B. Saveli. \°ea! soles wore contributed by Miss Ic.aee Alartin The candles on die birthday cake were extinguished by Mr ’litcombc amidst a shower of good wishes. _ . : At a meeting of the Dental Clinic Committee appreciation was expressed of the action of the Department ot Health in appointing an additional dental nurse to ensure that as many children, as possible may be brought under the scheme. It was decided that local and district residents ho afforded an opportunity to inspect the clinic. Mr Jamco Macdonald was thanked bv the committee and the nurses for his donation of a mirror. The secretary (Mr A. A 7. Taylor) stated that during the past month. Air 'Saunders, of the Department of Health, had visited Fox ton and inspected the clinic. He had spoken in terms of the highest praise in connection with the clinic and congratulated the committee and Wanganui Education Board’s architect (Air L. R. Hodge) on (he very fine building and appointment*. The building, lie said, was a credit to the town. He a'-so stated that, of its type, the clinic was the. meet up-to-date in the Dominion.
