The Te* Ante team is due to arrive in Palmerston North tnis evening. HORONVHENUA UNION. . The rcsulfs of Saturday’s Rugby _ foolball matches played under the auspices of the Horowhcnua Union are: Wanderers 5 v. Kuku-Manakau 3; Shannon 16 v. Air Force A 9; Athletic 11 v. United 3; Foxton won by default from Air 1' orcc Jj. As a finale to the play, in aid of the Patriotic Fund, two teams of former players were matched. The “Dio Hards” beat the “White Hones” by 14 points to 11. For the winners, tries were scored by Rodgers, Anderson arid Wright (2), while Anderson converted one and for the. losers, tries were secured by Tana, NicJiolls and France, Nichoils converting one. Mr L. G. Campbell carried the whistle. The sum of £2O was raised from the day’s football.
