PATRIOTIC PARTY.
Miss Meryle Hardie, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs J. It. Hardie, entertained a number of her friends at a party for patriotfc iunds, at her home in Avvatea Terrace. Competitions and games occupied a large part of the time, and the prize-winners were: Misses 0. Gibbons, A. Conlin and M. Clift. Misses N. Ansin and B. Buchanan supplied the music. Miss T. Christian rendered a recitation and two dances were given by Miss Linda Burgess, Supper was served for the guests and a little more music concluded the evening. Among those present were: Mesdarnes J. It. Hardie. L. G. Hardie, Misses Keryle and Berenice Hardie, N. Ansiri. L. Burgess, 0. Gibbons, A. Conlin. B. Buchanan, J. Bailey. D. Jones. M. Clift, N. McGill, P. Cavanah and T. Christian.
