, Permanent recognition of. this . year as their jubilee year has been made by the New Zealand l ost , Employees’ Association aiid Officers Guild by the striking of a gold badge for presentation to the chairmen of the various branches. At the annual gathering, on Friday, of the M*™*" watu section, the presentation of one of these badges was made to Mr A. T> Barkwith, who is chairman of tlie section this year, having been reelected at the last . annual meeting, in appreciation of his good offices o the welfare of the association. Ifie presentation was made by Mr J. U, Churchill, vice-president ot the execu '*’* Prior to his entering the Papakura military camp, where lie will join the Dental Corps, Mr H. C. Bv-;AV jclierlev of the firm of Messrs Williams and MeKegg, was met by the employers , o nc i staff and made the recipient of gifts. Mr A. R. Mcßegg, who made ■ the presentations, spoke of the good fellowship which existed between Mr Wvcherley and his many friends. He wished him the best of luck in his sphere. There were also a number o the rank of lieutenant.
