GERMAN CLAIMS
NAVAL CONTEST. NORTH SEA OPERATIONS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received June 10, 10.5 a.m. LONDON, June 9. ' The. Admiralty announces that it has received information appearing to indicate that contact was made yesterday between British and German naval forces in northern waters. No further statement will be made until full reports are received. _ •. The German High Command states that German naval units have destroyed the troop transport Orama and also the aircraft-carrier Glorious. The Admiralty does not comment on the German claim to have sunk the Orama. The German High Command says that naval forces, operating in the North Sea, sank two destroyers, the oil tanker Pioneer and a submarine chaser, in addition to the Glorious and the Orama.
