HOSPITAL COMFORTS

NEW ORGANISATION. A meeting of ladies was held in Feilding on Friday afternoon for the purpose of forming a hospital comforts branch. The meeting was well attended and the Mayor (Mr T. L. Seddon) presided. It was decided that a branch be formed, and after Mr Seddon had stressed the need for the provision of hospital comforts a committee comprising Mesdames Mills, Borrie and Wild, with Miss M. Petrie as secretary, was set up. It was decided that the organisation meet several times each week and Archdeacon F. H. Petrie was thanked for placing the kindergarten school at the disposal of the branch for meetings. Sewing material was distributed.
