HOURS OF WORK.
Per Press' Association. WELLINGTON, June 7. An order extending the hours of the De Havilland Aircraft Company to 44. a week . was made in the Arbitration Court to-day by Mr Gilmour, S.M. It was stated on behalf of the Aeronautical Engineers’ Guild that an agreement had been reached and there was no objection to the order. The Court issued, a local bodies’ labourers’ award providing for a 40hour, five-day week, work to be done between 7.30 a,m. and 5.30 p.m., with some elasticity. A minimum wage of 2s 5d an hour or £4 11s Gd a week was prescribed. " ■ •
