HAWKE’S BAY MEETING. Per Press Association. HASTINGS, June 8. The first winter meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club is being held in beautiful weather, with a good attendance. The course is in splendid order. Results: MAIDEN PLATE, of £IOO. Five furlongs and a-half. —1 Etla 8.7 (Morris), 1; 5 Gold Court 8.7 (Broughton), 2; 3 Isis 8.0 (Atkins). 3. Scratched : Oraiti, Dusky Morn, Black-out. A neck; two lengths. Time, 1.9 4-5.
