COAST PROTECTION.

Admiralty order. Received June 8, 9.25 a.m. LONDON,'June 0. The Admiralty has issued the following urgent order: “No merchant vessel, as Irom June 8, must approach within three miles of coastal torts of the United Kingdom between sunset and sunrise except in organised British convoys.’’ The British Official Wireless says the order does not prohibit vessels on passage from using a recognised coastal searched channel where this encroaches oil the three-mile limit. With this exception vessels not in an organised convoy who are unable to make their destination before sunset must anchor or proceed outside the limit. Vessels failing to comply are liable to be fired on. -.
